Itinerary
Day 01: Cusco – Cloud forest – Villa Salvacion Manu
At the scheduled time we will pick you up from the hotel, our next destination will be the exuberant region of the cloud forest where the Andes end and give way to the Amazon. We will ascend to the Acjanaco pass, which is the entrance to the Manu National Park.
On the way we will have some stops to discover some secrets of the cloud forest, the kingdom of giant ferns. If time allows, we will make a breath dynamic. We continue our journey until we reach Villa Salvación, Capital of the province of Manu, where we will spend the night.

Day 02: Villa Salvación - Matsiguenka Shipetiari Community
Early in the morning we will visit the MachuWasi lake, the lakes in the Amazon are points of congregation of fauna, especially birds and other species. Before starting the raft outing, we will have time to connect with the nature through breathing to the rhythm of the bird awaking.
We continue the journey until we reach the Matsiguenka community of Shipetiari. The Matsiguenka community is adjacent to the Manu National Park, after the welcoming we will settle in our comfortable rooms. Later we will have the chance to explore the rainforest surrounded by the most extravagant noises that make this place mysterious.

Day 03: Matsiguenka Shipetiari Community
To the rhythm of the forest awaking, we will have the chance to channel and expand our senses and put them in harmony with the magic of the forest, through breathing and meditation.
After breakfast, we will go out to explore the jungle accompanied by a member of the community to learn first-hand the secrets of the forest. This trek will offer us an excellent opportunity to get to know the ecosystem of the Manu jungle, passing between trees over 20 meters high. The lodge has a very extensive trail system to explore the Manu jungle. In the afternoon, we will have the opportunity to make our own arrow with the ancestral technique of the Matsigueka.
Before getting dark we will explore the forest until getting to the platform to practice breathing, open our senses to connect to the nature, getting back to the lodge we always have great chances to find more fauna.

Day 04: Matsiguenka Shipetiari Community
Also today we will have a new opportunity to channel and expand our senses and put them in harmony with the magic of the rainforest, after breakfast we will have some time to learn a little about the daily life of our new friends, we will do some activities with them, such as harvesting yuca, banana or other seasonal products.
In the Afternoon, we will participate in a campfire and traditional food, such as Pacamoto (pieces of fish cooked in bamboo), banana and other local products, we will spend some time exchanging experiences with the Matsiguenka, and to recover the strength and channel our energy, we will have a session with Temasal with aromatic herbs accompanied by music.

Day 05: Matsiguenka Shipetiari Community – Villa Salvacion - Cusco
At the scheduled time we say goodbye to our friends and embark until we reach the port, where we are waiting for transportation to return to the city of Cusco, on the way we will make some stops to continue enjoying the area.

Transportation: Private transfer from Manu to Cusco -Transfer to Hotel in Cusco.

All programs in the jungle may have slight variations, depending on the reports of our experienced guides and weather conditions, in order to maximize the observation of wildlife.
For the jungle trip you will need the following equipment:

- Your own personal water container, to be refilled at any time. This way we can reduce the usage of plastic
Note : During meals in the dining room you can wear casual clothing and shoes or sandals. We provide rubber boots for walk in the rainforest.
- Quick movements and loud noises are stressful to animals. Considerate travelers practice these safety methods:
- Learn about wildlife through quiet observation. Do not disturb wildlife or plants just for a “better look.” Observe wildlife from a distance so they are not scared or forced to flee.
- Considerate travelers observe wildlife from afar, give animals a wide berth.
- Avoid use of flash while taking snaps.
- Store food securely and keep garbage and food scraps away from animals so they will not acquire bad habits .Never feed wildlife. Help keep wildlife wild.
- Make sure the colors of clothing and gear blend with the environment.
